EURO:TUN 2017 Innsbruck, Austria

EURO:TUN 2017 is the fourth conference of a series of successful ECCOMAS Thematic Conferences on Computational Methods in Tunneling, started in 2007 in Vienna and continued in 2009 and 2013 in Bochum. Like the previous conferences, EURO:TUN 2017 will provide an excellent overview of the current state of research and future perspectives of numerical modeling and computational technologies in underground construction.

Dr. Sauer & Partners' Andreas Spiegl takes to the stage alongside CoLOR's Steve Nuttall and LU's Richard Watts. Their presentation will describe the challenges and solutions from the design stage through to the successful execution of tunnelling work for London Underground’s Bond Street Station Upgrade project.

Underground Construction Prague 2016 Prague, Czech Replublic

The 13th International Conference entitled “Underground Construction Prague 2016” takes place in Prague, from 23rd to 25th May 2016. This is the largest Czech tunnelling conference and is held every three years. The conference is enhanced this year as it is combined with the 3rd Eastern European Tunnelling Conference (EETC 2016), a biennial regional tunnelling conference.

April 12, 2016 Crossrail's 2016 Technical Papers Competition - Winners' Presentations Institute of Civil Engineers, London, UK

Shortlisted finalists from the Crossrail Technical Papers Competition will present their papers at this evening event at the ICE. We are delighted that our very own Dr. Angelos Gakis has successfully been awarded first place for his paper "3D Geological Model of the Completed Farringdon Underground Railway Station". The paper was co-authored with contributions from Ms. Paula Cabrero, a former Dr. Sauer & Partners employee, as well as David Entwisle and Holger Kessler from the British Geological Survey (BGS).
