The beginning of June saw the return of the biennial Rapid Excavation and Tunnelling Conference (RETC), which took place for 2017 in the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, CA. For the Dr. Sauer & Partners’ team, it’s back to business as usual after a great few days spent catching up and networking with the many other colleagues from the world of tunnelling, sharing their most recent experiences and discussing future projects on the horizon and new approaches.
Our corporate booth was hosted by Partners Juergen Laubbichler and Christian Karner, supported by senior staff members in North America; Elmar Feigl and Franz Wilhelmstoetter. The event which has been running for 20 years is well-known for its coverage of the most recent advances and breakthroughs in the field, and provides a forum for practising professionals to keep up with the ever changing and growing tunnelling industry.
