Our last update from Bank Station Capacity Upgrade Project

Final excavation and support steps for tunnelling on the London Underground Bank Station Capacity Upgrade project were completed in early July 2020, just under 3.5 years after construction began in February 2017.

After nearly two and half years of tunnelling at the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU) project, about 90% of the new SCL tunnels are complete. The focus for the tunnel gangs is now on the escalator tunnels.

Tunnel construction of the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU) project started in February 2017. About 85% of the SCL primary lining tunnelling works underneath The City, London’s financial district is completed. This already equates to 1km of new tunnels.
