As work continues at the Woodsmith Mine, sinking of two 1600m deep service and production shafts is underway and the 25m x 15m elliptical shaft brow within the MTS Shaft Inset has recently completed. Horizontal development of the MTS Station Chamber is also underway.

On Wednesday 1st November, Dr. Sauer & Partners’ Seenan Alam joined the educational programme for the Tunnelling Association of Canada's Young Members (TACYM) Learning Series. 

The Tunnelling Association of Canada's 2023 Awards Banquet took place this week in Toronto, coinciding with the Conference, and Dr. Sauer & Partners is delighted to have been selected as the recipient of the Canadian Photo of the Year Award.

The British Tunnelling Society’s Young Member’s Conference for 2023 takes place this Friday, 29th September in Fitzrovia, London and Dr. Sauer & Partners is pleased to be sponsoring. 
 

Between September 24-26th the Tunnelling Association of Canada's annual conference will take place at Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. On Tuesday, Sept 26 at 8.50am, Partner and MD in Canada, Gerald Skalla will present his paper 'Large Caverns in Sand'.
