Tunnelling works at the Crossrail Farringdon Station in central London are underway; the majority of the sprayed concrete lining (SCL) tunnels are completed.

The society has held a dinner every year since 1989 and Dr. Sauer & Partners has been attending this event for many years.  

As works on the primary lining approach their finish with 96% of the works concluded, construction of the secondary lining comes to the fore. To date 10% has been completed.

The British Tunnelling Society Young Members (BTSYM) hosted their second conference on 27th March 2015 in London.
